Samitan Sharma brings over 22 years of experience in banking, investments, and the upstream oil & gas sector to his role as CFO of Impact. His expertise spans business development, production asset financing, and commercial strategy, with a strong focus on Africa- and Asia-focused independents.
Before joining Impact, Samitan served as Commercial Manager, Business Development at Tullow Oil (2021–2025) , where he drove strategic growth initiatives. He spent eight years as Commercial Manager at Delonex Energy Ltd (2013–2021), where he was part of the inaugural team. His oil & gas career began at Cairn (2008–2013), where he played a role in the landmark first oil production from Rajasthan’s Barmer basin.
He has also held banking and fund management roles with HSBC and Fidelity before transitioning to oil & gas.
Samitan holds a Bachelor’s degree, a qualification in Engineering, and an MBA.
