Bjørn Thore Ribesen

Chief Operating Officer

Bjørn joined Impact in 2025 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Impact, Bjørn served as SVP of Drilling and Wells at Vår Energi from 2022. Before this, he was VP of Field Development & Projects, responsible for all projects and field development at Vår Energi from 2020.

Bjørn has 28 years of experience in O&G industry with technical, managerial and executive positions both in Norway and internationally with Schlumberger and AkerBP / Aker Energy prior to joining Vår. ​Predominantly he has been working within the Drilling & Wells domain, but has also held leadership positions in projects, field development and operations.

Bjørn holds an EMBA from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a B.Eng. w/Hon (Sivilingeniør) degree in Offshore Technology from Marine Department at University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
