Charles is a co-founder of Impact Oil & Gas Limited and is based in Singapore. Charles was instrumental in the establishment of the company and enabling Impact’s first entry into South Africa.
He is a geophysicist and previously worked for Occidental Petroleum in Western Australia and was involved in the company’s discoveries on the NW Shelf of Australia at that time. Before this, he was with Soekor (South Africa), now called Petro SA, involved in exploration offshore Namibia and the east coast of South Africa.He worked for Occidental Petroleum and was involved in a number of the early discoveries on the North West Shelf of Australia. He is an ex President of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (WA Branch) and is an author of numerous technical papers on the application of geophysics for oil and gas exploration.
Charles is currently the Managing Director of Rouge Rock, an exploration company with blocks on the NW Shelf of Australia.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Geology and a Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Physics from South Africa Universities.
